Driven by live visualisations of wave data collected from an off-shore buoy, Cove allows visitors to experience the beatuy of our oceans in an immersive and thought- provoking way. Teenagers will be drawn to the area, as the exhibit creates a calm, safe space, that encourages connection to both our planet and with each other. Suspended above the Square, the Canopy is immediately eye-catching, being visible from all across the town centre. It is made from hundreds of translucent blue streamers, recycled from plastic cleaned from the ocean. The Canopy reacts to weather just as the ocean does. On days where the wind is strong, you will see it - in the form of huge, rushing waves rippling across the surface.
